Effective date: November 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Trades Mosaic LLC ("Trades Mosaic," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit www.tradesmosaic.com (the "Site"), fill out one of our forms, or get in touch with us.
The short version:
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms and Conditions.
Trades Mosaic LLC is a privately held, operator-led company that acquires and operates trades and infrastructure businesses in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC and Florida. Our focus includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, facility services, building automation and energy systems, and mechanical services for government and security-sensitive facilities. We are not a fund. Our offices are at 5680 King Centre Drive, Suite 600, Alexandria, VA 22315.
Trades Mosaic is responsible for the personal information collected through the Site.
Our operating companies include Tim Whistler Plumbing (Tessera TWP LLC), Fresh Air Heating, Cooling & Indoor Air Quality (Fresh Air LLC), First Aid Air Conditioning and Strategic Heating & Air. Each has its own website and its own privacy policy, which apply when you use that company's website or services.
This Privacy Policy covers only www.tradesmosaic.com, not our operating companies' websites or other websites we link to. If you and Trades Mosaic sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) or another agreement, information exchanged under it is also governed by that agreement.
We collect the information you choose to provide, including through these forms:
We also collect what you share when you email, call or text us, or speak with us in person.
Please do not send sensitive information through the Site. Our forms do not ask for, and you should not include, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical or disability information, or similar sensitive details. If a host company needs more information later in the SkillBridge process, it will ask you for it directly.
If you own a business, you may tell us about it, such as its trade, size, location or general financial picture. We handle inquiries about selling a business confidentially.
We exchange detailed financial information, such as financial statements, tax returns or customer lists, only after both sides sign a mutual NDA. Please do not send that kind of information through the Site, and please avoid including personal information about your employees or customers in your message.
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information from your browser or device, including:
We set up our analytics so that the contents of our forms, such as your name and contact details, are not sent to Google Analytics.
We may also use information for other purposes we describe when we collect it, or with your consent.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. People, not algorithms, review seller inquiries and SkillBridge applications.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or another place whose laws require a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on:
Email. We use an email delivery and marketing platform to send emails about your inquiry, automated follow-up sequences and occasional updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. After you unsubscribe, we may still send messages directly related to an inquiry or transaction you have with us.
Calls and texts. If you give us a phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry or application. We will not send you marketing texts unless you separately agree to receive them.
To stop texts, reply STOP (or a similar word such as QUIT, END, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE). You may receive one message confirming your request. Reply HELP for help, or contact us. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
We share personal information only as described here:
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We will not try to re-identify it.
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Pixels (or tags) are small pieces of code that tell a provider when a page loads or an action happens. The technologies we and our providers use on the Site fall into these types:
We may use the Meta Conversions API, which sends information about actions on the Site, such as a form submission, from our systems to Meta instead of from your browser. This information may include hashed contact details. Because it can work even when your browser blocks pixels, we also accept opt-outs by email.
We may also upload lists of contact information, such as the email addresses or phone numbers of people who have contacted us, to Google (Customer Match) and Meta (Custom Audiences). The information is hashed, meaning converted into a coded string, before it is uploaded. The platforms use it to match people who have accounts with them, so we can show relevant ads, avoid advertising to people we are already talking with, or measure results.
We do not send the contents of SkillBridge applications to advertising or analytics providers, and we do not upload SkillBridge applicants' contact details to advertising platforms.
Browser-based choices apply only to the browser and device you use, and clearing your cookies may undo them. Opting out does not mean fewer ads, only less tailored ones.
Where the law requires it, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies and advertising technologies.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to it, the Site does not change its behavior when it receives one.
Global Privacy Control. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for that browser or device. If you have also given us your contact details and we can reasonably connect them to that browser, we apply your opt-out to them too.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, some state privacy laws define "sale," "sharing" or "targeted advertising" broadly enough to cover the advertising tools described above. Under those definitions, we may disclose these categories of personal information to advertising platforms such as Google and Meta:
You can opt out at any time, wherever you live in the United States:
We act on opt-out requests as soon as we can, and no later than 15 business days after we receive them. You do not need to verify your identity to opt out.
We do not knowingly sell, or use for targeted advertising, the personal information of anyone under 18.
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes in this policy, including to meet legal, tax, accounting and recordkeeping obligations. It depends on the type of information:
When we no longer need personal information, we delete or de-identify it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site, bot protection on our forms, and limiting access to the people and providers who need the information to do their jobs.
No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security. Please do not send sensitive information through the Site or by email. If you think your interaction with us is no longer secure, contact us right away.
The Site is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. SkillBridge programs are open only to service members. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Several states give their residents rights over their personal information, including Virginia (the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, or VCDPA), Maryland (the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, or MODPA), Florida (the Florida Digital Bill of Rights) and California (the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, or CCPA/CPRA).
Whether a particular law applies to us depends on factors such as our size and how much personal information we process. Some of these laws also do not cover information about people acting in a business or employment role. Rather than sort people by state or role, we offer the following rights to all U.S. residents, subject to the exceptions the law allows:
In some cases we may keep information despite a deletion request, for example to complete a transaction, meet a legal obligation, keep a record of your opt-out, or protect against fraud or security incidents. If we do, we will tell you why.
Requests are free. If requests are clearly unfounded, excessive or repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline, as the law allows, and we will explain why.
To protect your information, we need to confirm that a request comes from you. We match the details you give us, such as your name, email address and phone number, against the information we hold, and we may contact you at an email address or phone number on file to confirm. Requests for specific pieces of information, or for deletion, may require more matching details.
We will not ask for your Social Security number, and we use the information you give us for verification only for that purpose. Opt-out requests do not require verification.
We will confirm that we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we may extend that by up to another 45 days and will let you know.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We will ask the agent for proof that you gave signed, written permission, or for a valid power of attorney. We may also ask you to verify your identity directly with us and confirm that you authorized the agent.
If we decline to act on your request, you can appeal by emailing info@tradesmosaic.com with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line and briefly explaining why you disagree. We will respond in writing within 60 days and explain what we decided and why.
If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General, such as the Virginia Office of the Attorney General or the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. Our response will tell you how to reach them. California residents may also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency.
We will not deny you service, change the quality of our responses, or treat a seller inquiry or SkillBridge application differently because you exercised a privacy right. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources, for the purposes and with the recipients described above:
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. If you include it in a message, we use it only to respond to you. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16. How long we keep each category is explained in "How long we keep information" above.
The Site is intended for people in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us as described in "How to submit a request." You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise a privacy right, contact us:
