BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Experienced Operators. Patient Capital. Real Industry Expertise.

Our board brings together operators who've built and exited service businesses, capital partners with deep transaction experience, and industry experts with hands-on trades knowledge. What Our Board Does

Our board provides strategic guidance, governance, and industry insight as we build a long-term platform of trades and infrastructure businesses across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

They support key decisions across acquisitions, operations, and growth — ensuring every business in the platform is run well, every owner partnership is structured fairly, and every long-term commitment we make is one we can keep.

Our Leaders

Our directors bring deep operating experience and credentialed expertise across mergers and acquisitions, operational transformation, capital markets, federal contracting, and trades industry leadership — combined with hands-on experience running the kinds of businesses we acquire.

Daniel S. Peña Sr.
Chairman of the Board
Daniel S. Peña Sr. is a globally recognized entrepreneur, growth strategist, and founder of The Guthrie Group — an international investment consortium focused on large-scale transactions and operating-business creation. He brings decades of experience building, acquiring, and exiting companies across multiple industries and continents to the Trades Mosaic board.
Dr. Alexandro Armour Sr., PMP, CEPA
Managing Director & CEO
Dr. Alexandro Armour leads the platform's acquisition strategy and operational integration — combining 25+ years of entrepreneurial experience with deep expertise in M&A structuring and operational excellence.
Dean Marcus, JD
Legal Director
Dean Marcus is an attorney with deep experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and the regulatory complexities of federal contracting and trades acquisitions. As Legal Director, he structures the agreements that protect both sides of every Trades Mosaic deal — including the seller protections, transition terms, and team-retention language that distinguish the platform's approach.
David Grossman, CPA
Chief Financial Officer (Interim) & Finance Director
David Grossman is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in M&A finance, transaction structuring, and post-close operational accounting. As CFO and Finance Director, he oversees the financial discipline that lets Trades Mosaic offer the flexible deal structures owners need — earnouts, rollover equity, transition periods — while maintaining the operational discipline acquired businesses depend on.
Elaine Kapusta,
Industry SME
Elaine Kapusta is an industry subject-matter expert with hands-on leadership experience in trades and infrastructure operating environments. She brings the practitioner perspective to Trades Mosaic's board — making sure every acquisition and every operating decision reflects how trades businesses actually run, not just how they appear on paper.
Louis “Henry” Gilford, P.E.
Industry SME
Henry Gilford is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with 40+ years of extensive operating experience across mechanical trades and infrastructure services - helping evaluate every acquisition through the lens of the operational, technical, and crew-level realities.

Together, our directors bring combined decades of operating, transaction, engineering, and legal experience — paired with the credentials and discipline required to build a multi-vertical trades and infrastructure platform that lasts.

Why This Matters for Business Owners

For business owners considering a partnership with Trades Mosaic, our board provides confidence that the company, the employees, and the customer relationships they built will be stewarded by leaders who understand both operating reality and long-term ownership.

Governance Without Losing Operational Independence

Our board provides strategic governance — it doesn't run your business. Day-to-day operations stay with the CEO and operating team. The board sets direction at the platform level, supports major decisions like acquisitions and capital investments, and helps connect acquired businesses to expertise when it's useful. Beyond that, the people who know your business best keep running it.

Strategic guidance beyond day-to-day operations

Most independent trades businesses don't have access to board-level strategic expertise — M&A, capital markets, federal contracting, scaling operations across regions. Joining Trades Mosaic gives your business that access without adding overhead. You get the strategic resources of a much larger company while keeping the autonomy of an independent operator.

Access to deep industry expertise

Our industry subject-matter experts have run mechanical trades businesses, managed infrastructure operations, and led field teams in environments like yours. When a real operational question comes up — equipment financing, crew development, federal certification strategy, vertical expansion — the answer comes from someone who's done it, not from a consultant.

Support for long-term growth and expansion

Growth doesn't have to mean exits, layoffs, or rebrand consolidation. With a board built around long-term ownership, expansion happens at the right pace for your business and your team. Sometimes that means new service lines, sometimes new markets, sometimes acquiring an adjacent competitor — but always at a pace and shape the operating leadership wants.

FOR CAPITAL PARTNERS

Disciplined Governance for a Long-Term Platform

For capital partners and institutional readers evaluating Trades Mosaic, our board brings disciplined financial oversight, proven growth strategies, and the governance infrastructure required to support a high-performing, multi-vertical trades and infrastructure platform — including the regulatory and credentialing discipline necessary to operate inside federal and secured-facility verticals.
